COMPETITION BRINGS THE BEST OUT OF CRUSADER SWIMMERS
JANUARY 18 – WESTFIELD, NJ – The #9 ranked Crusaders won 6 of 11 races, but ultimately #4 Westfield had a little more depth, helping them to a 93-77 victory in Union County. The hosting Blue Devils remained perfect at 9-0 on the season and BC fell to 5-2.
The 200 Relay of Ryan Choi, Dimitri Melnikov, Jeremiah Tomioka, Doyee Kim opened the meet with a blistering time of 1:38.01. Two races later, Dimitri Melnikov won the 200 Individual Medley. Doyee Kim and Ryan Choi issued a one-two punch to the Blue Devils in the 100 FLY and Raymond Stelmark and Tomioka placed 1-2 in the 500 FREE. Doyee Kim took his third first of the day, winning the 100 BACK and Melnikov took his third first of the day, winning with 100 BREAST.
